There is growing interest in the use of waste materials to produce
affordable energy alternatives, particularly in developing countries
in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Chardust is regularly contacted
by businesspeople, development organisations and donors with
requests to share its practical experiences and provide technical
advice on the establishment of briquetting operations in developing
countries.
Chardust appreciates this need. But at the
same time its success in Kenya is the result of considerable
investment of time and resources by its Directors. The company has
therefore formulated a consultancy policy. While we are always happy
to respond to commercial enquiries for briquetting equipment, and
equally happy to respond to basic enquiries about our systems and
processes, more in-depth advice is now available on a fee-paid
basis.
We can provide a variety of technical advice for the establishment of operations similar to our own based on the salvage, recovery and conversion of charcoal waste to fuel briquettes. This includes installation of machinery and training of operators, either on site or through placement at our factory in Kenya.
